Oakton Selects Architect for Master Plan

Legat Architects, a firm with 68 architectural awards over the last 18 years, has been chosen by the College to develop a Master Plan. The decision was announced at the monthly meeting of the Oakton Board of Trustees on Tuesday, November 17.

The Chicago firm has developed Master Plans for more than a dozen community colleges in Illinois. Legat Architects will be responsible for studying how classrooms, labs and offices should best be utilized; defining a location for an Enrollment Center at the Des Plaines campus; recommending how to maximize use of all athletic facilities; and developing an energy conservation plan through grants or performance contracting.
