While in Florida on their Annual Spring Training Trip, the Raiders scrimmaged against affiliates of the Washington Nationals. Oakton players also met professional players from the Washington organization, including pitcher Alex Morales, who played for Oakton in 2003. In 2007, Morales was promoted to the Nationals Triple-A affiliate, the Columbus Clippers.
