Oakton Seeks Talented Students and Community Members for Exciting Auditions

The Six Piano Ensemble has performed internationally and locally, including at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Chicago Civic Opera House.

String Ensemble
The String Ensemble, directed by faculty member Daniel Golden, is looking for experienced violin, viola, cello and double bass players to join their performances. The fall 2024 repertoire includes works by Corelli, Tchaikovsky, Vivaldi and Carl Nielsen.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time
Based on the novel by Mark Haddon and adapted by Simon Stephens, this award-winning play tells the story of 15-year-old Christopher, who has an extraordinary brain.

    • Roles: Actors may play multiple roles. Five females (20-50s) and five males (20-50s).
    • When: Aug. 22 and 23, 6 – 9 p.m. No appointment necessary.

Used Carlotta: A Staged Reading
This sweet and quirky play is set in a used car lot in an American city. Characters explore the meaning of life, finding answers in each other and the circus.

OMG Improv

Six Piano Ensemble
Founded by Glenna Sprague, professor and coordinator of music at Oakton, the Six Piano Ensemble has captivated audiences for over 25 years with its innovative performances. The group performs classical masterpieces as well as ragtime, jazz and popular music.
