The Oakton Library can help you find the resources you need, including textbooks, online resources, and much more. Librarians offer research help online and in person at both campuses, including drop-in, appointments, workshops, and more.
The Skokie Campus Library is located within the Skokie Learning Commons, a collaborative space where the Oakton community can access academic support services provided by the Access and Disability Resource Center (ADRC), Learning Center, Library, Testing Services, and TRIO Student Support Services. Access the Skokie Learning Commons through the A135 or A200 entrances.
The Des Plaines Campus Library will be closed beginning December 12 while we move into our new temporary space. We will reopen in our new location in rooms 1604-1610 on January 6, 2025.
The library also offers 24/7 access to our extensive collection of online content including: articles, e-books, and movies. We also provide access to print books, technology, and more during open hours. In addition to our collection, you'll also be able to borrow items from more than 80 colleges and universities throughout Illinois.
Most in-person library transactions require your Owl ID. You can pick up your card in person or have it mailed to you.
